Established in 1978, Mother Hubbard's has been serving local customers and travelers ever since. Located on Avenue of the Flags, in the center of town, we’ve seen the ever-changing landscape of the area; but throughout the years our commitment to serving the best homemade foods has never changed. From farm fresh produce and eggs, to hand-cut chops and steaks, we’re committed to bringing our customers the highest quality meals in the area. As a supporter of local charities and organizations, we’re as committed to our community as we are to our family of customers.

We’ve been starting our mornings for over 40 years with homemade buttermilk biscuits ready to be paired with sausage gravy made the old-fashioned way. The sizzle of bacon on the grill, the whirring sound of the blender preparing the eggs for our extra fluffy breakfast omelets and the sounds of conversations, not a TV (we won’t put one in) recalls the feel of an earlier year.

Lunch at Mother Hubbard's starts at 11, though sometimes you can sneak it in a bit earlier, with many offerings from homemade soups to salads. Over the years our lunch offerings have changed, though we still hold true to our beginnings with items such as in-house hand-ground burgers and a good old-fashioned grilled ham and cheese. New sandwiches such as the Santa Barbara Chicken and the Monterey appeal to those looking for something a bit lighter. Of course, we never stop changing and now our simple burgers have become flame-grilled burgers with multiple toppings and served with homemade spicy ketchup, and grilled onions along with our own caramelized ones, and the accompaniments are mainly from local organic farmers. Your regular burger can even be replaced with a Beyond Burger.  You can not tell there is no meat in this burger!

As for the daily lunch special, it's ever-changing. You never know what it’ll be from chili dogs and chips to BBQ Tri-Tip sandwiches, but you do know it’ll be served something fresh and delicious.

At Mother Hubbard’s we live by our philosophy, meals like mom used to make and then some, and the knowledge that you work too hard to spend your money on something you don’t like, so if it isn’t right, tell us and we’ll fix it, no questions asked.  Well, almost no questions asked.
